Lead AV Electronics Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools
• Able to Solder & Crimp connectors, use compression tools
• Perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner. Such tasks include but are not limited to:

Pull cable
Install connectors
Projector/Lift mounting / hanging (ceiling mounts)
Projection Screen mounting
Metal fabrication
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (load and unload trucks)
Climb ladders / lifts up to heights of 35 feet

• Read and interpret Electronic Schematics and Architectural Plans to apply information gained to complete installation.
• Mechanical fabrication and Equipment Rack wiring/labeling to design specifications.
• Travel and working at various job sites throughout the U.S. as required
• Equipment delivery and associated responsibilities
• Field installation of control programs (AMX / Crestron) – upload and download capability
• Ability to diagnose complex system problems
• Minor programming capability (AMX / Crestron) – changes and troubleshooting
• Commercial Drivers License preferred
• Ability to manage small to large projects with an eye on deadlines
• Demonstrate job site leadership
• Ability to test integrated system and train client on use
• ICIA Installation CTS Certification
• Proficiency with test and calibration equipment
• Maintain cleanliness & take fleet vehicle for regular maintenance
• Mentor less experienced technicians
• Positive and effective interaction with internal and external customers
• Customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
• Responsible for job documentation as needed
• Overtime required
• Regular attendance for scheduled shifts
• Other duties as requested or required

• Ability to think and work independently & meet necessary deadlines

• Familiarity with DSP programming, Control Systems
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Ability to take initiative and stay on schedule
• PC proficient
• Must possess a valid Drivers License and be a safe driver
• Creative thinking


QUALIFICATIONS

Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
4+ years experience with AV or other Electro - Mechanical installation techniques
